New Water Distribution Head Installation at Viva Energy Polymers

Project Overview

FlowMatrix successfully completed a critical component upgrade for Hydro Flow Pty Ltd at Viva Energy Advanced Polymers. The project involved the replacement of the water distribution head in the cooling tower, ensuring continued efficiency and reliability of their cooling system.

The scope of work included the safe removal of the old distribution head and the installation of a new aluminium rotating distribution head. Our team followed a systematic process to ensure minimal downtime and adherence to safety standards.

The Workflow: From Arrival to Completion

Isolation and Access

Our team began by isolating the cooling tower and removing the access panel, providing clear and safe access to the internal components.

Removal of Old Components

We carefully removed the drift eliminators and spray arms, followed by the disconnection and removal of the existing rotating distribution head.

Supply and Installation of New Equipment

A new aluminium rotating distribution head was supplied and installed, enhancing durability and performance. The spray arms were then reinstalled to complete the internal fit-out.

Final Checks and System Restoration

After reassembling the components, the system was de-isolated, and our team conducted thorough checks to verify correct operation and system integrity.
