Visy Paper: Cooling Tower Compliance and Efficiency Upgrade

Project Overview

FlowMatrix completed an important upgrade at Visy Paper, demonstrating our expertise in maintaining and improving industrial cooling systems. The project involved the removal and replacement of drift eliminators, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.

The goal was to replace ageing, corroded drift eliminators with new, high-quality components to enhance system efficiency and reduce environmental emissions. Our team meticulously planned and executed each phase of the project to ensure minimal disruption to plant operations.

The Workflow: From Arrival to Completion

Removal and Disposal

We began by removing the old drift eliminators and properly disposing of them in site bins, ensuring environmental and safety compliance.

Supporting Structures

The corroded drift eliminator supports were carefully removed and replaced with new supports supplied by FlowMatrix, designed for durability and stability.

Installation of New Components

New Brentwood CFUltra drift eliminators were installed, providing advanced emission control and efficiency. We secured the new eliminators with straps and buckles to ensure proper fit and safety.

System Testing

Once installed, the system was de-isolated, and our team conducted thorough checks to confirm correct operation and performance.
