The project involved the installation of a new water distribution box, a vital component to ensure efficient and reliable cooling tower operations.

Our team arrived on-site prepared to execute the task safely and efficiently. The first step involved completing all necessary site permits and conducting a thorough Job Safety Analysis (JSA) to guarantee a secure working environment. Once approvals were in place, we loaded the site with all required materials and equipment. Safety was prioritised from the outset: the cooling tower was isolated, and personal locks and tags were applied to prevent any accidental activation during the work.

The Workflow: From Arrival to Completion

Execution of Installation

The existing drift eliminators were carefully removed and set aside, ensuring no damage during the process. The old water distribution box was then detached and properly disposed of off-site, making way for the new installation.

The new distribution box, coated with RepelCoat Rapid for enhanced corrosion resistance, was installed meticulously. Following this, we fitted new spray arm grommets to ensure proper operation and sealing.

With the new components in place, the drift eliminators were reinstalled, restoring the cooling tower to its operational configuration. The system was then de-isolated, and our team conducted a thorough check to verify correct operation and system integrity.

Once confirmed, the site was cleaned up, and all equipment and materials were packed away. The project was finalised with the closure of permits and completion of all safety documentation.
